Spring Arts and Heritage Centre
Just a three-minute walk from us is the Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, one of the few centres in the UK to integrate both the arts and local heritage.
The Spring has a wide entertainment offering for the 120,000 residents of the Borough of Havant and beyond, including theatre shows, music, comedy nights, films, literary events, exhibitions and regular workshops for adults and children. It is also home to a free museum celebrating the history of the borough and the people who have lived in it. There is also a cafe and a shop with a nice selection of gifts including jewellery, handbags and scarves.
Formally Havant Arts Centre and Havant Museum, the centre merged into one organisation and rebranded in 2009. The name ‘the Spring’ was inspired by the local springs and waterways, which brought parchment making and glove making to Havant.
And after spending time at the centre, enjoying a show, exhibition or workshop, or learning about the borough’s history for yourself, why not head over to Wheel Wrights for a delicious lunch or dinner, or even just for a few drinks.
